Current information about Covid recommends that children should return to school if they are well enough. However, as a special school, we would like to ask that if your child tests positive, you keep your child at home for 5 days to prevent onwards infection. Children have relatively mild symptoms, however, adults (including our school staff) have been quite unwell, and require at least 5 days to recover. This means that they are unable to be in school. To prevent the spread of this infection, we would kindly ask that your child remains at home for 5 days or until negative.
If you are unable to test and your child has a sore throat, temperature, cough or is generally unwell, please keep at home for a minimum of 3 days.
