Summer Term 2
Dear Parents and Carers
I hope that you are all well and enjoying the lovely summer weather.
COVID - thank you to all of you for helping us to stay safe and well in 2021. In school we will remain in our 4 bubbles & we are not changing any restrictions on site at this time. So please continue to:
- Wear a mask on site
- Sanitise your hands as you enter the school site
- Distance yourself from all adults (2metres)
Please ensure that your child has a change of clothes at school, that will be sent home if they are used.
If you decide to travel abroad this summer, please remember that your child must be ready to start school on Monday 6th September - and this includes isolating if you choose to visit an amber holiday destination. Any holiday period that is booked during term time and includes a period of isolation will be recorded as an unauthorised absence. Your children have missed many days of schooling over the last year and I ask that you seriously consider the impact of more time away from lessons and time away from their friends.
Mr D has published an update on all our gardening work during the last year - please take time to read his newsletter.
I am busy working towards the building of another new classroom which should start over the summer break. The consultation to increase our numbers from 125 to 137 is published on 7th June. We plan to expand our classes from September creating an additional class in Year 3/4 and another in Year 5/6.
Please help your child by dressing them in cool clothing (no coats needed), with a hat in their bag. Please apply sun cream before school.
Finally, please make every effort to ensure your child gets to school on time - 9.15am is our start time and we are opening the gates at 2.50pm for the parental pick ups. If you are planning to pick up your child earlier, please phone the school office to gain permission to come on to the site.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions
