School update 8th February 2021
Dear Parents and Carers
I hope that all of you are remaining well and staying warm!
Riverside is continuing to encourage parents to keep their children at home in line with Government guidance. It is encouraging to see that the numbers of cases in the local area are starting to fall - however, they are still at a higher level than when we had the 11 confirmed cases in school in December. Please do not become complacent - we must remember to stay at home, hand wash regularly, wear a face mask and maintain social distancing.
On a positive note, the vast majority of staff at Riverside have received their first vaccine and we are voluntarily testing for COVID twice a week from home. We hope that these control measures will help to keep positive cases to a minimum among our school community and reduce the possibility of transmission.
We had planned a school INSET training day for 22nd February, however, the school will now be fully open on this day. Instead, we will be closed on Monday 7th June.
We have a few vacancies at the school - please check in the Parents section of the website.
Please make every effort to join class zoom meetings as well as opportunities for parents to meet together with Gill over the coming weeks.
Stay safe and stay well
Catherine Le Roux
