Monday 4th January - lockdown update
Dear Parents and Carers
I hope that you have all listened to and absorbed the information from the Government this evening, that we are now in a full lock down and the country is in Tier 5. This is a more serious and concerning time than when we closed in March last year.
I am closing the school to all pupils and staff on Tuesday (tomorrow) to allow me time to plan for our next steps. I must endeavour to keep the numbers of children who gather together to a minimum so that we minimise the high risk of transmission. Many of our pupils require physical reassurance from the adults in school and I need to ensure that we can provide that security without it being to the detriment of staff, pupils and then consequently to their families and your family. If you can keep your child safe at home to reduce social contact then I would ask that you do that. We may be able to offer only very limited places to pupils who's parents are front line keyworkers such as hospital, medical, social and care home workers, school staff, police and army.
We will provide home learning activities through Seesaw and regular Zoom meetings. Please make every effort to join in with these. If you need support with technology, then please contact your class teacher who will pass your requests on to me.
I will update this news page on our website, so please check it on a daily basis. I will also use our texting & email service (Teachers2parents).
Please remember - we are here for you and your family - please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
