Holiday Activities and Food Schemes

Dear Parents and Carers,

Please find information about summer holiday schemes in our local area:

• The Department for Education is funding Holiday Activity and Food Programme (HAF) schemes, that provide eligible children with the opportunity to take part in enriching activities and enjoy a hot meal as well as receiving nutritional education and wider health and wellbeing support. You can search for schemes in your local area via the Family Information and Services Hub (FISH).

• HAF Eligibility Incudes: school aged children in Year R and above who are in receipt of benefits related free school meals; and recently arrived Ukrainian and Afghan refugees. HAF is also provided spaces for children with SEND or an EHCP plan; and children in contact with Early Help or Social Services.

• Advice and support with utility costs from Local CA offices | citahants.org
• Emergency housing support from Support for housing costs - Hampshire | Children and Families | Hampshire County Council (hants.gov.uk)
• Food Voucher for households in receipt of council tax benefit. £30 voucher will be confirmed and distributed via district or borough councils. Details will be confirmed here: Support for Households | Children and Families | Hampshire County Council (hants.gov.uk)

• Asda - Children Eat for £1 at Asda Cafes - at any time of day in Asda Cafés, seven days a week, with no minimum adult spend required. The Kids Eat for £1 initiative is available all day, every day from 25th July until 4th September. Children can eat for just £1 at Asda Cafés across England and Wales this Summer – with no minimum adult spend
