Covid update December 2021
Dear Parents and Carers
We are seeing a rise in COVID cases in school so I am writing to ask you all to be really vigilant around your children's wellbeing and to use lateral flow tests at least twice weekly through this final week of the term and also during the holiday period. We know that for many of our pupils testing is very difficult, so please ensure that all adults and older children in your family home are testing regularly.
Symptoms that children have been experiencing recently include:
- Headaches, ear aches, sickness & tummy aches, sore throat
- Continuous cough
- Loss of taste/smell
You can get lateral flow test kits from your local pharmacy or online at: www.gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests
If you or your child tests positive then please book yourselves a PCR test and inform the school office (firstname.lastname@example.org). Please do not return to school until your results are back and you have had a discussion with me.
Please ensure you are hand washing, using sanitiser and wearing a mask if you come onto the school site. From Monday parents will not be able to enter the building unless they have a booked appointment.
If you would like to send gifts for your class staff, please ensure they are sent in a plastic bag.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
