COVID update 7th October 2021
Unfortunately members of staff in Robin and Deer classes have today tested positive for Covid. This means that your child has been in close contact with coronavirus. The advice is that all people who have been in close contact should take a PCR test. I understand that this can be very difficult for many of our pupils. I have taken advice from our local health protection team who advise that if a child is unable to take a test, then all family members should get tested. I would like to ask that all of you get a PCR test over the next 24 hours. To help contain any further spreading of the virus, if you are able to keep your child at home on Friday, this would be very helpful while we try to establish the number of positive cases. Please email the school office this evening indicating whether or not your child will be attending school on Friday. (email@example.com)
I will email you again over the next day or so to keep you up to date with any further news.
If any of your family develop symptoms: high temperature, cough or loss of taste or smell, then please do get tested as soon as possible.
Your local test centres are at Havant (walk through) or Langstone (drive through). Tests can be booked at: Get a free PCR test to check if you have coronavirus (COVID-19) - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) Home testing kits are also available, but of course take longer to receive a result.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask me.
